Our Programs

Our programs

Federation Early Learning Services (FELS) enrolls children from six weeks to twelve years providing center based full and part time options.* Operating year round from 7:30 a.m.– 6:00 p.m. with flexible scheduling, we serve healthful daily lunches,* morning and afternoon snacks.

Our programs are licensed by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, surpass state health and safety standards and take appropriate security measures.

Five of our centers have received national accreditation from the prestigious National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC; www.naeyc.org). Our other centers uphold NAEYC standards and are pursuing national accreditation.

We use the nationally recognized Creative Curriculum program with a child centered, small group approach to promote language, reading, math, science and motor development. By building upon each child’s interests and natural curiosity, learning is fun and spontaneous.

Our language rich environments promote literacy and build a strong foundation for our future readers. Quality books, computer programs and colorful posters build vocabulary and foster reading and writing skill development.

Enrichment programs such as art, music, foreign languages, etc. are fun, exciting and designed to develop a well-rounded child. Computers, a highly motivational learning tool, are used in all of our older toddler and preschool classrooms to reinforce learning.

On state-of-the-art playgrounds, children develop motor skills, learn to get along with others and develop a sense of community while having tons of fun.

Our school age programs for children 6 – 11 years old* provide a relaxed environment before or after school, part or full day (when public schools are closed) and during the summer. Structured and unstructured activities provide opportunities for children to participate in clubs, develop relationships with peers/adults and receive help with homework and other school projects.

We serve children with a wide variety of special needs in a compassionate learning environment. Staff, in collaboration with our Director of Child Development Services, maximizes the abilities of all children enrolled in our programs.
