 MEET OUR DIRECTOR: SANDY CHERNOW
Sandy has a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education / Early Childhood Education from Penn State University. She also is a Pennsylvania Quality Assurance System (PQAS) certified trainer in early childhood education for the state of PA. For 4 years Sandy was the director of Congregation Shaare Shamayim Nursery School before beginning at FELS in 2000. During Sandy’s tenure, the Paley Center has achieved a Keystone Star Four designation and NAEYC accreditation. Sandy also volunteers at Delaware Valley Golden Retriever and her own retriever is certified as a therapy dog, visiting senior centers and libraries in the community.
